Money already moves. We just changed where some of it goes.

Torch is a debit card that turns everyday spending into support for good causes. When you pay, the merchant pays a small fee, just like they would with any card. Half of what we earn from your spending goes to a charity you choose, at no extra cost to you, starting from your first purchase.

That's it. That's the whole idea. No round-ups, no donation prompts, no changing how you live. Just your everyday spending - coffee, commute, weekly shop - supporting the causes you care about, one tap at a time.

The why?

Why we started Torch

Torch founder standing in front of a river and bridge.

We looked at how much good intention gets lost to frictions.

Round-up apps ask people to give a little extra at the till. Charity boxes get walked past. Direct debits get cancelled in a budgeting panic. Good causes were being asked to compete for attention and spare change, in a world where people are busier and tighter on money than ever.

But there was already money moving on every single transaction - it just wasn't going anywhere useful. So we built a card that redirects it, automatically, permanently, without asking anyone to give up anything.

The what?

What we believe

The things a risk-aware board asks about, handled up front.

Giving shouldn't cost you anything.

Not your money, not your time, not a new habit you'll forget in a fortnight. If it doesn't fit into a life people are already living, it won't last.

Small and constant beats big and occasional.

A single donation is a moment. A penny on every coffee, every fare, every weekly shop, for years - that's income a charity can actually plan around.

Charities shouldn't be overlooked because they're small.

The same care for a local community group as for a national charity. Every cause gets equal footing on the Torch network.

Nothing should ask people to change how they live.

No round-ups, no donation prompts, no new routines. Just the spending people are already doing, quietly redirected.

Transparency isn't optional.

Every pound is traceable to the transaction, the cause, and the date - for the people giving and the charities receiving.

Automatic beats asking, every time.

The best kind of giving is the kind nobody has to remember to do.

Trust has to be earned before it's asked for.

Funds are safeguarded, regulated, and never used to run our business. It's not our money to touch.

The who?

Who is it for?

A question mark made of stacked coins, with a single coin resting beneath it.

Torch is for anyone who's ever meant to give more but never quite got round to it.

For people who'd rather their coffee money quietly did some good than feel guilty for not doing more. For charities who need income they can rely on, not just attention for a week.

And for local businesses who want their customers' loyalty to mean something beyond the transaction. We're not trying to replace giving. We're trying to remove the excuse not to.

Spend like always.
Give like never before.
